June 24 is National Take Your Dog to Work Day, a fact that few businesses would publicize and fewer still would participate in. But then there’s G5.
A recent recipient of Inc’s Top Small Company Workplaces award and profiled in the magazine’s online Man’s Best Co-Worker section, G5 not only advocates bringing your dog to work but also plans a full day of events for G5 dogs on this lesser-known holiday.
Three out of four G5ers own a dog, many of them rescues. With 113 employees and growing, that’s a lot of dogs. We kicked off G5’s Doggie Health and Wellness Day at 8am with homemade doggie treats and blue doggie bags for our four-legged co-workers. A few hours later, Dr. Menasco from Deschutes Veterinary Clinic dropped in for a full day of complimentary pet exams. We’ll head out later to the park, dogs in tow, for a group walk. Not such a ruff way to end the work week.
